Verruca Treatment

Safely Remove a Verruca and Restore Clear, Healthy Feet.

Verrucae are a common skin condition caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). The lesions are harmless, benign and may eventually resolve on their own, however, can be very painful, embarrassing and can last for many years. The virus is contagious and easily spread, therefore it is common to notice more than one lesion on your foot. Verrucae like dormant in the outer layers of your skin.

Once you have contracted the HPV virus and a verruca has formed, the wart can quickly begin to spread to other areas of the body. Not only can plantar warts spread on the individual, but also be passed on to others, in particular children.

There are many different ways in which a verruca can be treated, the extent of the treatment would be based on the severity of the virus. In some cases, the verruca can be removed independently through salicylic acid. It is always recommended to visit a podiatrist if the verruca begins to interfere with daily activities.
